A painted enlarged studio photo of my great granny somewhere in Ukraine in late 1800's. Is there a family resemblance?These paintings are contemporary w/those a Abernathy. It will give you an idea how looking at old photos inspires questions and feelings beyond nostalgia. The more I do these the deeper I get into the act of painting.
